John McCain's peace summit visit to CBS' "Late Show" gave David Letterman his highest viewership in nearly three years.
The Thursday night telecast was seen by 6.5 million viewers, and received a 1.7 rating in the adult demo. That's the largest audience for the show since December, 2005,
